CLS (Collecte Localisation Satellites) is a subsidiary of the French space agency CNES. It was primarily created in 1978 to develop the ARGOS commercial activity. Its activity has now been extended to many other domains, including Space Weather applications. For 15 years now, CLS is involved in many Space Weather projects for institutional entities (ESA, CNES, Eurocontrol, ICAO) or private companies (TOTAL, Arianespace).

The variety of users of Space Weather products and services is very large. It ranges from agriculture to the space sector, including also aviation or the offshore industry. Their needs are constantly growing while the models and the data are becoming more accurate.

The presentation deals with the diversity of CLS' activities in Space Weather and presents how a private company can play an important role in this new applied research. The main idea for CLS is to be involved in projects which includes final users and research experts, CLS begin an intermediary between these two worlds.

In the field of high energetic particles, CLS has been proposing a service to Arianespace for more than 10 years. In the weeks preceding a launch of an Ariane 5 or a Vega rocket, CLS estimates the risk that a proton event occurs at Earth during the launch. In the field of satellite orbit computation, CLS proposes a service of solar indices forecast in order to plan the maneuver in an efficient way. Finally, in the domain of ionospheric scintillation, CLS works to provide tailored maps and forecast of rapid ionosphere disturbances to users.
